How long would the service go for?
The service lasts around an hour - very occasionally slightly longer.
The service order can vary slightly, but we usually open worship by singing Choruses as a call for us to come before our God with joy, then we continue with prayers, more choruses and hymns sung to the accompaniment of the music band. There is a welcome to new visitors and then followed by announcement of our activities. A collection is taken up from church members, then blessed. If you dont wish to give, please don't feel obliged - like we said - its important for members to give of what God has given us, but as you are here as our guests, it is entirely up to you. We then hear a sermon and a blessing. Please feel free to check our weekly bullletin to see the typical order of the service.
What about my children?
About 15 minutes into the service, children of primary school aged head out to the Church House for the Sunday School program. The Sunday School program finishes when the adults completes the service from the main Church building.
What happen after the service?
Coffee and tea are served afterwards in the church house next door- you are most welcome. We would love to see you.
1pm First Sunday (of each month except January) - Everyone is very welcome to join us for fellowship, a shared lunch and time-honoured hymns accompanied by our grand 1906 George Fincham organ. If you have any favourite old hymns, please let us know and we would be happy to include them (given enough notice). Click on the picture of the organ to hear the sound.
Communion is served during this worship service on the first Sunday of March, June, September and December. All those who love the Lord and who have made a public profession of their faith in their own church (any Christian denomination), is most welcome to take part. We are all invited to our Lord's table, to fellowship in His presence.
We are always keen to recruit musicians for our worship band to play praise songs and hymns as well as singers. If you have musical talents or love to sing - please say hello.
What to wear?
We arrive in anything from smart casual to scruffy casual - and everything in between.....what you normally wear out on a Sunday will be fine. It would be nice to see you however you turn up.
We look forward to meeting you
